When it rains, it...snows?
Snow last fell on Hummingbird Ranch December 15, 1988. Of course I wasn’t there to see it, but according to our neighbor, Neal, the storm left 5-8 inches total. So, imagine our surprise this morning when we received these pix from Neal’s son Kyle -

While some of you actual snow-dwellers may mock, I think it’s one of those most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I’m confident it melted into oblivion mere hours later, but wow, SO COOL!
Central Coast Trailrides posted these awesome pix from nearby Creston on their Insta yesterday -

…and FARMstead ED-SLO Co Farm Trail, which hosts tours, tastings and “agriCULTURAL” experiences to local farms, wineries and ranches posted this dreamy winter photo -

Alas, I can only join in the wintery fun from afar, saddled instead with unrelenting wind and occasional rain - the latter necessary, but annoying as it makes it challenging for us to head north. The trailer life is tricky when having to manage muddy shoes and muddy paws. So I wait. Biding my time, enjoying images posted by people living my dream.

maybe some of us can get a tour from them during Emmys graduation vacation
